This online pathophysiology course is designed to give non-clinical staff (medical billers and coders, for example) an overview of the mechanisms and consequences of disease based on physiological dysfunction in the major organ systems.
Each organ system is introduced with a brief review covering normal structure and function, followed by the pathology and some common disorders of each system. Training includes common clinical presentations of disease and the mechanisms of underlying signs and symptoms.
Better understand physician insight on major diseases
Better understand pathophysiology processes and mechanisms as it applies to a career in medical billing and coding
