The Advanced Neurology and Neurosurgery Coding Course is designed to help coders, billers, and other medical professionals become competent in coding neurological diagnoses and services.
Students will learn the anatomy of the nervous system, diseases and conditions associated with the nervous system, and procedures performed on the neurological system.
We'll also discuss the nuances of diagnosis coding for neurology and walk students through key reporting guidelines. Additionally, complex cases will be discussed in the course material to demonstrate proper application of CPT®, HCPCS Level II, and ICD-10-CM coding for diagnostic and surgical neurology services.
Education and experience requirements
Completion of a professional coding course or 1 year of ProFee coding experience is recommended.
Continuing education units (CEUs)
