I am a bit scared and I don't know if I should pursue this opportunity after reading how hard it is to get a job without experience. I really want to find a remote job. What is your experience?

No. U have to call different hospitals and doctors offices for intership urself. I called and asked to shadow and an ENT office allowed me to. Everyone else told me no in my area. Aapc has a job link... jobs.aapc.com

I went to Midwest Technical Institute in Missouri, the instructor placed me in an office to do an externship and they offered me a job based on my work during that. I highly recommend MTI for medical coding, the lifelong job placement services are so great!

I work as a full-time coder/biller currently (not fully remote, but with a hybrid option) and while I didn't have a coding job prior to this, I received the training at a community college near me offering a coding program. I also had a job as a receptionist at a doctor's office, and working with the CPT/ICD-10 codes in that role offered a lot of experience as well. Both of these helped me learn and gave me experience I needed while earning my CPC, until I found my current job a couple months after finishing school/receiving my CPC. So - definitely get the course training, and in my experience any job in the medical field that has you working with these codes will help get you familiar with it to start out.
