Hello,
The provider we are billing for is dispensing NICE1 cold compression therapy to the patient as part of post-operative treatment for pain evaluation.
We haven't had issues getting reimbursed by WC and Personal Injury by using CPT code E1399. The issue begins with dispensing this product to the OWCP (Department of Labor) patients using the DFEC program.
I have tried to investigate which CPT code is appropriate to use and, the only result is HCPCS E0218 which per OWCP coverage is not covered HCPCS code.
Did anyone have the same issue, have you had success reimbursing for such a device from OWCP or even Medicare?
